MEET THE FOUNDER
COACH MIKE
Hey, I'm Coach Mike Stephenson, and I started Stephenson Baseball & Softball Academy because I love seeing kids light up when the game starts to click for them. Baseball and softball have been a huge part of my life, and now I get to pass that passion on to the next generation here in Springfield. Around here, we keep it simple work hard, have fun, and believe in yourself. I use the Cross the Seams Training System to teach players how to move better, think sharper, and play with confidence. At the end of the day, I'm not just trying to build better ballplayersI'm helping shape young people who love the game and believe they can do great things. With four years of coaching experience and over 50 athletes trained, I've seen firsthand how the right instruction combined with encouragement can transform a player's entire approach to the game. Every session at the academy is designed to help your child not just improve their skills, but develop the character and confidence that will serve them well beyond the diamond.

At Stephenson Baseball & Softball Academy, I mix hard work with a lot of fun. I teach players to hit, field, and compete with confidence, no matter their skill level. My mission is simple: build great ball players and even better people. Using the Cross the Seams Training System, I focus on three key areas: mechanics, mindset, and movement. Every session blends high-energy reps with clear instruction so players understand why and how to improve. I don't just fix swingsI develop competitors who play with purpose. Players don't just learn the game here they learn to love it. I simplify the game so kids can actually feel their progress, and I build trust by caring about the person just as much as the player. From fundamentals to mindset, every swing, every rep, and every smile has a purpose. When your child trains with me, they don't just get better they believe they can be great.
